RTX has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector position at our Expressway location in Dallas, TX. The effective candidate will work from planning sheets, blueprints, quality control specifications, oral and written instructions, and contractual requirements. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Inspect for acceptance, all types and series of hardware to determine that build, rework, modification and repairs conform to contractual/drawing requirements.
- Inspect and accept electronic and/or mechanical hardware referencing quality control standards, workmanship and drawing specifications by checking such items as parts, wires, solder joints and terminals through the use of appropriate inspection devices.
- Inspect and reject for tests or rework or otherwise approves hardware as acceptable.
- Meet necessary certifications as required.
- Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required.
- Inspect Modules, CCA, TRIMMs, etc using a microscope
Qualifications you must have:
- HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum (4) years of work experience as a quality inspector or comparable experience OR Associates Degree in Electronics, Engineering or relevant technical field of study and a minimum of (2) years of post high school experience
- Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, microscope, and rulers
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with drawing and blueprint reading and interpretation
- Previous experience conduction inspection to the Solder Institute of Printed Circuits (IPC) Joint Standard 001E, Military Specifications (MIL Specs) and Process Specifications
- Previous experience performing quality inspections
- Experience with using a manufacturing tool; Common Manufacturing Enterprise System (CMES) or equivalent
- Experience with writing clear defects.
