Job Description
Job Summary Statement


Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products to ensure that production quality is at its best. Provides support to Quality Technicians and Supervisors.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Use prints, procedures and process control plans to audit manufacturing process.
  • Read dials, meters, and screen profiles to see if equipment is functioning properly. Use gages to measure parts or process parameters.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Housekeeping Help with keeping their production environments clean. Assist and maintain 5s practices.
  • Perform product audits Inspect products and determine if they meet standards (First Piece Inspection, In-Process Inspection, Finished Goods Inspection). Provide disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Perform administrative tasks. Document and record audit information. Write up Maintenance Tickets as needed.
  • May be requested to lead quality teams and be involved in making decisions regarding disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Communicate audit findings with leads, supervisors, peers, or technical staff by providing advice and consultation.
  • Will work in one assigned area in manufacturing.
  • Use Oracle to obtain Bill of Materials and Work Order Reports.
  • Safety Monitor events, materials, and surroundings Identifying any unsafe situation and notifying an immediate member of management.
  • Train operators to run assembly lines and auxiliary equipment. Coach and train production staff on how to inspect or improve production.


Minimum Requirements and Qualifications


  • Ability to lead team.
  • Work Environment Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months, work indoors around large machinery and forklifts with exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable.
  • Math skills Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Education High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • English language skills Able to read, write speak and comprehend English.
  • Able to use Oracle.
  • Able to read part prints.
  • Physical Requirements Able to bend and stand in for 8 to 10 hours a day and walk for extended periods; Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. up to 10 times per day during an 8 hr. shift; Ability to adjust body movements or equipment controls to keep pace with speed changes of moving objects; Must be able to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away; Must be able to see differences between colors, shades and brightness; Must be able to use fingers and hands to grasp, move or assemble very small objects. Minimum height requirement of 60 inches.
  • Experience One year of performing manufacturing quality audits.
  • Knowledge of measuring parts using gages (tape measure, calipers, micrometer, height gage, torque wrench, etc.).
