Job Summary:


Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Quality Control Inspector. In this role, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards.


Requirements


Job Duties:


  • Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly
  • Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
  • Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
  • Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
  • Reviewing blueprints, electrical schematics, and specifications to compare produced goods generating an inspection report to document all deviations
  • Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality, as well as electrical testing as required
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and electrical schematics
  • Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
  • Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
  • Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements·
  • Understanding functionality of basic electrical components for use in industrial electrical cabinets/panels
  • Proposing improvements to the production process
  • Manufacturing manager responsibility
  • Determining the causes of product defects and reworks
  • Coordination and Support of customers during FAT process
  • Comprehension and operation of basic electrical measuring equipment
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
  • Assist in training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards, UL codes and best practices required
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills required
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting live 480VAC control panels
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
  • Associates degree required
  • Keen attention to detail required
  • Growth mindset with the ability to accept challenges required
  • Teamwork and collaboration required
  • Understanding of target market and consumer needs required
  • In-depth understanding of company standards required
  • Ability to sit stand and walk for four plus hours at a time
  • Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, and computers required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • Blueprint and electrical schematic reading capabilities required
  • Documentation and reporting skills required
  • US work authorization without sponsorship required
  • One year experience with electrical inspection and testing required
  • Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications required


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in Lean/Six sigma preferred
  • Experience in an ISO environment preferred
  • Two plus years’ experience with electrical inspection and testing preferred
  • A BS in Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred
