KAMTEK is a premier Tier 1, automotive manufacturing supplier that specializes in Class “A” Stamping, Assembly and High Pressure Die Casting that produces Body-side and Door Openings, Roofs, Floor Pans, Wheelhouses, Large Welded Assemblies, Doors, Fenders, Hoods, Lift-gates, Aluminum Shock Towers, and Aluminum Rear Rails. Role Summary

The function of the QA Auditor is to inspect and audit any part being used on the line for accuracy and completeness. The QA Auditor is to ensure that all associates follow current work instructions for given part being run at that time. During the shift the QA Auditor is to inspect all applicable systems in manufacturing to verify that good quality parts are being produced. At the end of the shift, Auditors are to report findings and actions taken in reference to any concerns previous or current to the Production Supervisor. The Quality Auditor is responsible for their safety and well-being, quality, part audits, system audits, customer cost, productivity, and ergonomic issues through using the company policies and procedures and the Magna Employee’s Charter as a guideline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and verify Dimensional & SPC inspection per requirements.
  • Dock Audits: TLCQQ, Tagged, Loaded properly, Closed, Quantity, Quality. Tag matches the part, parts are loaded correctly, rack is locked, full rack with right quantity, no visual damage or noticeable missing components, feel check for dents, dings, buckles, dirt.
  • Audit quality paperwork for accuracy/completeness (daily)
  • Inspect product to requirements defined on the end of line checklist and the quality inspection forms.
  • Audit and report out on NCM material.
  • Visually hi-lite when applicable on class “A” surfaces.
  • Pass down to communicate shift concerns. (End of shift notes)
  • Initiate Internal and external quality alerts and verify they are properly filled out, ie: Customer name, part#, Quality Engineer and so on. Then verify internal and external quality alert countermeasures are being followed.
  • Follow up with the setup of rework and sort methods for quality concerns/containments.
  • Ensure containments and certification requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Communicate quality issues with product to Quality and Area Team Leader / Supervisor.

Additional Information

EDUCATION:

  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required;
