Position Overview

Key resource for the implementation and for management of the Food Safety System, model SQF Edition 9, FSMA regulations, reduction of Non-Conformance, and implementation of preventive and corrective actions relating to the overall plant environment.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and Conduct Environmental Monitoring Activities for the Production facility acting as the site expert in Hygienic Design, Hygienic Zoning, and Master Sanitation (30%)
  • Develop Work Instructions and Procedures for Hygienic Design and Plant Sanitation Programs to increase understanding and eliminate recurrence(5%)
  • Organize and Conduct Training to improve understanding and performance of Plant Hygienic Design Non-Conformances and Follow-Up (5%)
  • Initiate Continuous Improvement Actions and lead Root Causes Analysis for Deviations related to Environmental Monitoring (20%)
  • Report Swabbing results as a KPI to the appropriate parties in a timely fashion to improve Environmental Monitoring concerns around the (10%)
  • Collaboratively work with departments on complaints, new product start-up, and internal non-conformances to the disposition of raw materials and products (5%)
  • Organize and conduct training to improve understanding and performance of SOP's and GMPs, and write work instructions as (10%)
  • Initiate Continuous Improvement actions and lead root causes analysis (10%)
  • Ensure inventory is properly managed (5%)

Profile

Education Requirements

  • Minimum - 4 yr/Bachelors Degree in Food Science and Technology

Years Of Experience

  • Minimum- 3 years in the food industry

Prior Knowledge/Experience

  • Task and detail-oriented
  • Experience conducting internal and GMP audits
  • Ability to Work in Various Production Environments
  • Excellent written and verbal stills
  • Good problem-solving analytical ability
  • Experience writing procedures and work instructions, SOPs
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis, CAPA, nonconformance investigation
  • Strong communicator (both internal and external)
  • SQF/BRC/ISO/HACCP experience or certification
  • Dynamic fast-paced environment
