About This Position

We are looking to hire a Quality Assurance Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of various applications through comprehensive testing and automation. You'll collaborate across teams, use tools like Jira and Xray, and need skills in Confluence, Jira, Unix, SQL, communication, and SDLC knowledge. This role involves diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment and may include training.

Salary Range: 75k-115k - commensurate with candidate's skills, experience, location, and qualifications.

On a Day-to-day Basis You Will

• Must be familiar with API test automation with tools 
• Participate in the user stories review meeting, project sync up meeting and other meetings as required.
• Perform other testing aspects such as system testing, regression testing, integration testing 
• Work with other functional Testers and non-functional testers and collaborate with project manager, developers, business analysts and representatives from business units throughout the testing process. 
• Identify and facilitate issue resolution with functional and technical groups 
• Document the entire quality assurance testing process in test management tools such as Xray, Jira and communicate the test results to the team constantly. 
• Perform functional testing on various business components, modules and functionalities. 
• Perform test automation using tools like Selenium, Xray 
• Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process. 
• Develop test automation scripts. 
• Review and analyze user requirement documents in tools such as JIRA. 
• Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports for various applications based on business requirements 

Required Education/Qualifications

• Proficiency in managing Test Data: both generating and effectively utilizing it.
• 2 to 3 years of involvement in Test Automation and utilization of Test Management Tools like Selenium and Xray.
• Basic proficiency in UNIX command-line operations, and SQL for data validation within databases
• Knowledgeable about API Testing utilizing tools like Postman, RestAssured, and SoapUI.
• Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for debugging purposes.
• Proficient in using Git for version control of code.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field, or equivalent experience/combined education
• 1 to 2 years of experience in crafting test automation scripts using programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Capable of working independently, meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficient in working with JIRA for tracking requirements and reporting defects.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Cross-Browser Testing to ensure browser compatibility.
• Clearance: MUST be fully adjudicated & maintain a Top Security clearance.
• Exceptional communication skills. Must exhibit keen attention to detail, possess strong organizational abilities, and excel at multitasking. Proficient in Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Security+ certification
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
• Knowledge of Previous experience working with DoD systems, showcasing familiarity with defense-related projects and security requirements.
• Familiarity with Performance Tools like JMeter.
• Familiarity with foundational Web Technologies including HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
• Experience working with and supporting Agile development teams and DevSecOps environments, showcasing adaptability and collaboration in fast-paced development setups.
