Performance Team handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Summary
Plans, coordinates, and directs quality assurance programs designed to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identify food safety and quality risks.
- Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the dept.
- Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.
- Execute and delegate all product evaluations, warehouse audits, and all relevant daily paperwork.
- Supervise waste removal, uniform, chemical, and pest control programs and contracts.
- Conduct audits annually
- Analyze and document department processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Backup the USDA leads on inspections of all import, export & bonded items.
- Lead HACCP and FSMA, Pathogen Monitoring, SQF, SSOP & GMP programs
- Maintain a team environment and high employee morale.
- Research USDA, Food Safety & Sanitation, Shelf Life, Food Additives
- Effective communication with all people both within and outside the warehouse
- Liaison to USDA, FDA, or any other regulatory body
- Train all new department employees
- Coordinate and execute solutions from process analysis, reporting analysis, and general company projects.
Qualifications
- Strong USDA/FDA regulatory knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of plant sanitation, HACCP, FSMA, SSOP, and GMPs
- Knowledge of office & manufacturing processes, procedures, and technology
- 3+ years of job-related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field of study, knowledge related to the job.
- Strong reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
