This position will be located in Romeoville Illinois at the Weber Road facility; the position will also support 4 other GEA FT locations. The Quality and Process Auditor is responsible for the day-to-day support and functionality of the GEA Quality Management System. This includes auditing of; operations processes including inbound receiving, outbound order picking, outbound order shipments, and packaging quality for all orders and materials passing through and warehoused and shipped from GEA Weber Road. This position is accountable for maintaining the quality standards set by the company to maintain complete customer satisfaction with customer orders. Responsibilities also include ISO 9001 internal audits and implementation of corrective actions related to audit findings as well as assisting with continuous improvement of GEA processes.

Your responsibilities and tasks:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with managers and supervisors to implement corrective actions and assisting in training staff as required.
  • Input quality related data into the SAP Quality Management module as necessary for the completion of necessary tasks.
  • Maintain any quality documentation to ensure it is current and available to the required persons.
  • Communicate with GEA staff when needed to fulfill specific quality needs.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming receipts and outgoing orders while in process to ensure quantities, item accuracy, packaging and documentation meet or exceed GEA quality requirements.
  • Communicate with other GEA manufacturing facilities as needed to meet targeted quality requirements.
  • Participate in any required meetings related to all aspects of the quality and inspection process.
  • Facilitate rework as necessary to ensure the availability to ship quality merchandise as required.
  • Participate in a reporting program to record any discovered process deficiencies and provide follow up support to completion of correction of the process deficiency.
  • Conduct internal audits for compliance with ISO 9001:2015
  • Facilitate the return of defective product to GEA manufacturing locations and suppliers as required.

General Function:

  • Provide quality inspection auditing duties for GEA Farm Technologies Weber Road Romeoville location.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the Senior Manager of Quality Management and quality inspectors at Galesville and Romeoville (Enterprise Drive) facilities as well as suppliers.

Specific Function:

  • Work with other GEA Farm Technologies personnel on quality projects necessary to meet quality objectives.
  • Respond to all communications, such as e-mail and voice mail regarding quality inspection functions.
  • Maintain quality materials, inspection equipment and facilities to maintain the highest level of professionalism for the quality program.

Your profile and qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of quality inspection and/or general technical experience minimum
  • Associate degree in engineering or technical related field or 1-3 years of quality management experience with ISO 9001

Skills Required:

  • Intermediate skill level with MS Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Properly complete activity reports
  • Ability to ready and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Leadership skills with process improvement
  • ISO 9001:2015 Background and Experience
  • Possesses Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical knowledge and skills.
  • Proficiency in Corrective Action Process
  • Warranty and/or technical support experience is desirable.
