Qa Tester Jobs

Gentis Solutions is seeking a QA Tester to join our team. This full-time contract position is with an industry-leading data analytics firm interested in full-time flex/remote consultants. The ideal candidates will have the required skills listed below and will be eligible and open to being hired by the data firm at the end of the project's duration. This position will work alongside an existing team and leverages enterprise-level technologies and processes. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Proven experience as a QA Tester or in a similar role Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices Familiarity with test case design and execution Proficiency in scripting and test automation tools Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities Desirable Skills Experience with Continuous Integration / Deployment Automation Tools such as Github Actions and Teamcity Familiarity with Test Case Management tools like Qmetry for Jira Proficiency in UI Test Automation using Cypress Experience in API Test Automation using Cypress and Postman Experience with Angular JS SPA Framework Familiarity with Java Spring Boot Knowledge of Python, specifically FastAPI Typical Duties Execute automated and manual tests to ensure software is operating as designed Create test processes and procedures to ensure that software operates within defined requirements Implement test plans, automation, and validation strategies Identify and investigate issues found during testing, and update test cases based on discovered defects Collaborate closely with software developers and software quality engineers to resolve issues Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents Develop and automate tests for software validation Detect and report bug issues, prepare defect reports, and report test execution progress
