What this position entails

IntelliScript’s Information Technology has been a key part of our success and is critical to our future. In this role, you will have responsibility for IntelliScript’s tiered test strategy, acting as a quality advocate within the development team. You will build and integrate automated test routines into the CI/CD pipelines, with results and metrics published via Azure DevOps. The Quality Assurance Engineer will emphasize data driven, incremental improvements to our quality strategy by collaborating on IntelliScript’s transition from manual to automated testing, making key contributions to our DevOps culture. You will work closely with the QA Manager and other QA team members to understand features, develop, and automate test cases to improve test efficiency.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design, implement, execute and debug information technology test cases and scripts
  • Review the development code to build an effective automation suite to cover technical and business integration automation coverage
  • Design & develop pipeline as a code for Continuous testing & continuous integration pipeline to integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipeline.
  • Perform manual, exploratory, and automation scripts development efforts
  • Automate test cases using the same coding languages (Java, Javascript, C#, etc.) as their developers
  • Drive automation efficiencies and coverage effectiveness using different automation framework tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with developers in reviewing unit test and integration results for coverage analysis
  • Selecting test frameworks for their teams
  • Ensure the test coverage and execution of Unit, Integration, Acceptance, System, Regression, UAT, Security, and Performance are met
  • Create a branching strategy and policies for high-quality automation deliverables
  • Mentor quality engineers on automation best practices and support automation backlog efforts
  • Design a real-time automation dashboard to measure build quality and provide feedback to the agile delivery team

What we need

  • Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills
  • Experience with automating UI, APIs, web services and backend processes
  • Strong experience testing C#, SQL, JavaScript, .NET applications, APIs and services
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with a variety of testing techniques and methodologies
  • Self-motivated team player who can run with a project and is willing to pitch in as needed
  • Excellent collaborative skills, with strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on both new and existing technologies
  • Experience within an Agile environment

Location

This position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI and travel to client sites, industry conferences, etc.

The salary range is $70,000 to 140,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, skills, certifications, and location. If relevant experience is less than 5 years the range would be $70,000 to $115,000; for experience of greater than 5 years, the range would be $85,000 to $140,000. In addition, we offer a performance-based bonus plan, profit sharing, and generous benefits.
