Qa Analyst With Automation

We have an opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst with our direct client in Financial Services requiring work some of the time in one of there offices. Must be willing to work in Chicago, Milwaukee, or Madison.

Not considering C2C candidates for this position.

Role: QA Analyst

Contract Duration: throughout 2023, with opportunity to extend

Location: Light Hybrid out of Milwaukee, Madison or Chicago. Candidates are expected to be able to come to the office periodically.

Comments:

We are currently seeking a proven Contract QA Analyst for a hybrid/onsite role. This will be placed on a newer team that is tied to a financial planning initiative within PWM. The ideal candidate will have success in managing and delivering large IT projects within a complex and rapidly changing environment. This role will support multiple initiatives for one of the two areas.

Interview Process:

• 45 min video interview with Manager
• 1 hr technical interview. Would do screenshare, coding may be needed

Technical Profile / Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of testing processes, tools, and frameworks.
• Design and develop automated test scripts and maintain and update existing scripts.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to advise and ensure appropriate testing on projects and serve as a conduit in delivering quality results.
• Identify and communicate situations that put the project quality at risk.
• Provide recommendations on appropriate testing strategies and methodologies for assigned work.
• Actively participate in design reviews and provide feedback on features, user story acceptance criteria, and usability.
• Dive into ongoing projects and ask the appropriate questions to plan and create test cases and understand what needs to be done in terms of integration and regression testing.
• Perform analysis and identify candidates for test automation, determining the appropriate technology required.
• Work with delivery team and larger QA group to build our test automation practice
• Document, communicate, and track the progress of defects on through resolution.
• Analyze results of test runs and determine cause of failures.

Candidate Profile:

• Proficiency with databases and SQL queries.
• Ability to automate, or recognize the opportunity to automate, repeated tasks and tests.
• Knowledge of test methodologies and the difference between testing and checking.
• Strong communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences. Experience with Dynamics CRM a plus
• A minimum of five (5) years of prior IT and/or Business-related experience, including at least five (5) years of Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Software Development experience.
• Experience in testing both integration processes and reporting that reference large data sets.
• Practical knowledge of and experience with agile software development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, XP, Lean)
• Basic understanding of typical web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs).
• Experience testing APIs is a plus
• Experience with Katalon Studio and Browserstack is a plus
• Adaptability to change approach and priorities to meet the needs of the project and business.
• Ability to partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Developers to review requirements, write user stories, discover risks, and identify areas to be tested, and help educate team members on testing approaches and methodology.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops, especially with integrated testing is a plus
• Automated UI Testing with Appium and/or Selenium experience preferred
