The Edgewater Hotel is seeking a Purchasing/Inventory Clerk to join our team!


We are looking for someone that is detail oriented, enjoys the challenge of meeting pressing deadlines, and is proactive in getting things done and done well!


Day In The Life


  • Assist in inventory audits to determine inventory par levels and needs.
  • Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
  • Maintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
  • Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
  • Post invoices using computer programs. (Craftable experience a plus)
  • Notify manager/supervisor of low stock levels.
  • Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving to ensure count accuracy.
  • Calculate food inventories and update order guides .
  • Receive, unload, and process deliveries.
  • Check all incoming goods against delivery orders and invoices, food specifications and purchase records to ensure that the type, amount, price and quality of items charged and ordered are correct and maintain safe, sanitary and organized storage of all items.
  • Monitor PAR levels for all food items to ensure proper levels.
  • Placement of orders with the direction of the Executive Chef and Culinary Team.
  • Mindful of costs and budgets.
  • Ensure requisitions are approved by authorized persons and acknowledged by recipients upon delivery.
  • Complete purchase order forms for required supplies.
  • Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee return process.
  • Receive, issue, deliver, store, price and rotate all incoming goods for the hotel and maintain a good balance between par levels of inventory items and on hand quantities in accordance to business needs.

Salary: $25-$29 a hour, DOE


Requirements


  • Microsoft Office, basic computer skills.
  • Craftable, Accumatica,Birchstreet experience preferred.
  • At least one year full-time employment in a similar position, in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Servsafe Certification preferred.
  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.


Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability


  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal, and work with mathematical such as probability and inference. Ability to create, read and analyze spread sheets of statistical data. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request.
