Basin Material Handling (Easley, SC) is seeking a talented, experienced Purchasing for our growing business.

Primary Purpose:

The Purchaser will negotiate vendor terms and prices, and will schedule delivery using knowledge of

production schedules and estimator's inputs. Successful candidates are expected to comply with the general attendance policies. Successful candidates are expected to comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Duties:

• Uses knowledge of machines and equipment to schedule items necessary to continuous production cycles.
• Adheres to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures and processing of job.
• Perform and assist with account payable duties as needed.
• Negotiates best vendor terms, pricing, and delivery based on specific budget and production schedule requirements.
• Maintain primary responsibility for SDS books at work site, in accordance with OSHA requirement.
• Carries out physical and electronic inventory control policies and procedures.
• Uses knowledge of material and work planning methods to coordinate product deliveries.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

Ability to read blueprints and use quality control tools.

Able to take and carry out direction.

self-directed, driven for results, dependable, and willing to work as necessary to

complete job.

Strong organizational, multitasking, problem solving and team work skills.

1 year(s) required in Purchasing.

1 year(s) preferred in Manufacturing.

Pay Range: $17-$18
