Public Relations/Corporate Comms Coordinator

OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Public Relations/Corporate Communications Coordinator!

Come tell the story of a rapidly growing hotel development and hospitality management company. OTO Development is seeking a Public Relations/Corporate Communications Coordinator. Based in the company’s corporate office in Spartanburg, South Carolina, this role will support public relations strategies and messaging to both internal and external audiences.

What will you be doing most days?

• Taking photographs and creating short-form videos.
• Fulfilling other tasks as assigned.
• Managing social media accounts.
• Coordinating interviews and other media opportunities.
• Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and social media, to ensure consistent messaging.
• Creating/distributing press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials.
• Writing copy for various channels, including websites and newsletters.
• Maintaining relationships with travel writers and media contacts.
• Monitoring media coverage.
• Planning and executing events and promotional activities.
• Pitching story ideas to travel writers and industry journalists.

What are the requirements for this position?

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
• Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or similar field.

Physical Requirements For This Position

You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.

Travel Requirements

Minimal, occasional travel outside the local area and overnight.
