Job Description

One of our clients in the south is hiring for a part time Public Relations Coordinator. This role is expected to be around 25 hours per week and is fully remote (*you must be in the U.S. and you must be able to work Eastern Time hours).

Hourly pay is $30 - $32 per hour. It will last around 2 to 3 months with the possibility to extend beyond that.

Public Relations Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • You'll handle general project coordination as it relates to the public relations efforts on the team, as well as being client facing on occasion
  • You'll be writing and distributing press releases, promotional social media posts, fact sheets, etc.
  • You'll be helping to maintain a fresh / current press list of journalists, influencers, and other members of the media
  • You'll work directly with the marketing team to help plan and implement PR campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness

Public Relations Coordinator Requirements:

  • Must have great communication skills and the ability to collaborate with personnel and members of the media
  • Must have 1+ years of relevant PR
  • Must have a writing portfolio with PR samples
  • Must have great written skills and knowledge of press release style guides.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, or a relevant field.

*To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
