Overview
The Public Health Evaluation Program Manager will lead multiple small/medium projects or a large project for government and/or commercial clients. The Program Manager will play a key role in defining the direction of our projects and client engagement. This is a highly cross-functional and collaborative senior role and requires a technical leader equally adept at strategy as at project execution.

*Note - this is NOT an IT or Operations Project Management role. It is specifically related to Public Health Programs.*

Responsibilities
  • Project management responsibilities, including maintaining schedule and quality of deliverables, management of contributing technical staff, monitoring project fiscal resources, and being the main point of contact for clients
  • Responsible for business development activities including executive networking, expanding current contracts and participating in capture activities for new work
  • Manage team performance, including escalated issues, hiring new employees, task delegation, conflict resolution, career development, training, and reviews
  • Design and analysis of prospective and retrospective studies to assess the impact of programs and policies on key outcomes
  • Serve as a writer/editor on proposals, help develop win themes, and lead the development of proposals
  • Implement service management solutions to deliver client value
  • Lead the OMB/PRA and other clearance processes for data collection as required
  • Review technical data related to public health, healthcare and other data to prepare summaries, analyses, technical reports, manuscripts and presentations
  • Provide leadership, management, and coordination of planning, data collection and analysis, performance measurement, quality assurance and reporting to reliably capture the impact and effectiveness of the organization or program
  • Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in public health, social sciences, epidemiology, or other relevant field
  • 5-7 years’ progressive experience in managing project budgets, schedules, resources, subcontracts and staff
  • Background investigation required
  • Business development and proposal writing experience
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • 12-15 years’ work experience in health policy, public health, program evaluation, socio-medical or clinical research, or related fields pertaining to chronic disease, infectious disease, population and community health or healthcare services quality improvement
