Previous experience in a medical practice is great but not essential. People who have succeeded in this job have come from many backgrounds. Commitment to detail, learning, concern for others, and team work are the essential skills.

As a PTR/Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, including taking Lower Leg Ankle Foot Xrays, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Some Responsibilities

• Take Xrays as ordered by the physician, review images and download to EHR software
• Interview patients and document basic medical history and medications
• Assist during minor surgical procedures and wound care
• Maintain equipment in good working order
• Assist during medical examinations
• Monitor Inventory to ensure materials are available when needed
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Preferred Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess a current Arizona Certification as a Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR)
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Proven working experience as a medical assistant or similar position
