If so, the Division of Family and Community Service’s Infant Toddler Program has an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently recruiting a Psychosocial Rehab Specialist/Service Coordinator to work in our Lewiston field office. PSR Workers provide case management services for children ages birth to three years old with developmental disabilities. This position will include working within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include intake, assessment, eligibility determination, development of Individualized Family Service Plans, resource development, collaboration with community partners, and ongoing service monitoring for children and families involved with Infant Toddler Program. This position has the potential for flexibility with a hybrid in office/remote work agreement. Some travel is required.


The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation.

Example Of Duties


  • Consult with parents and treatment providers on best practice interventions
  • Provide information to parents and primary caregivers on services available throughout the department and the community
  • Provide cursory education to the family
  • Provision of case management services for children experiencing developmental delays, or those who have medical or other conditions that may lead to a developmental delay
  • Meet with families routinely to evaluate progress on outcomes, review priorities, and identify service needs and options
  • Some travel is required.
  • Monitor case plans and authorize services


Minimum Qualifications


You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position.


  • Computer literacy for data entry, electronic mail, composing reports and letters, and storing and retrieving documents.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Good knowledge of human services principles and practices to include behavioral management methods, social and family systems, cognitive behavioral education, and case management methods. Requires a bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral science, education, or healthcare from a nationally accredited university or college. Your bachelor's degree must have included at least twenty-one (21) semester credit hours (or quarter hour equivalent) in human service fields such as psychology, social work, special education, counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation.


Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.


  • Experience performing case management review and analysis. Gained by one year of work experience in case management, case plan development and monitoring, and assessing client strengths and weaknesses.
  • Completion of specialized training in developmental disabilities OR experience treating the developmentally disabled. Gained by one year of experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team, working with people with developmental disabilities, developing, implementing and evaluating individual treatment plans OR specialized training in developmental disabilities.
  • Good knowledge of Infant Toddler Program, early childhood development, children's developmental disabilities, early childhood medical conditions, and family centered services. Gained by at least two upper division courses in special education, elementary education, early childhood education, or closely related field; OR, at least one-year experience working in a program that delivered early intervention services to infants and toddlers with disabilities.
