The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Psychiatric Registered Nurse, UNLV Student Wellness - Student Behavioral Health [R0136752]
ROLE of the POSITION
Behavioral Health Services operates within the UNLV Student Wellness Center; a modern facility that houses Behavioral Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and the Student Health Center. The team provides psychiatric and behavioral health services to a wide range of students, both undergraduate and professional.
Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health Services, the registered psychiatric nurse position will assess and provide ongoing psychiatric nursing care to students with mental health needs, especially those students on psychiatric medications. This position will require a variety of psychiatric nursing skills in order to produce positive patient outcomes. Duties include providing ongoing psychiatric nurse case management to students receiving psychiatric medications within the Student Wellness Center, assisting psychiatrists by managing patient needs and triaging referrals, addressing student concerns between psychiatry visits, and other tasks as assigned.

PROFILE of the DEPARTMENT/COLLEGE
The Student Wellness Unit within Student Affairs is a multidisciplinary group consisting of the Student Health Center, Counseling and Psychological Services, Behavioral Health Services, CARE Center, Office of Student Conduct, Military and Veteran Services Center, and the Disability Resource Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse. All candidates must pass a background screening. Employees of the UNLV Student Wellness Center must be in compliance with our Employee Exposure to Communicable Disease (Prevention of) Policy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Experience in mental health services, case management, and integrated/collaborative care is preferred. Inpatient/outpatient psychiatric experience is strongly preferred.

SALARY RANGE
