Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Outpatient Pediatric (Psychiatry)
Primary Children's Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) who is passionate about caring for the Behavioral Healthcare needs of children and adolescents and desires to work in an outpatient setting. Intermountain Healthcare's Primary Children's Hospital, in partnership with the University of Utah School of Medicine, provides extraordinary behavioral health for children, adolescents and their families in a safe and supportive environment. This APP would primarily be based at our Wasatch Canyons Campus, located in Taylorsville, Utah.

We are a multidisciplinary team that provides high quality, evidenced-based treatments for children and teens who are struggling with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, behavioral disruptions, trauma, substance use disorders, and multiple other mental health diagnoses.

This is a full time opportunity, typically working Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. The APP will also be expected to provide on-call inpatient coverage: 6 weekends and 1 holiday per year. It is fully benefits-eligible, including CME reimbursement, student loan assistance, and relocation assistance, as needed.

Job Essentials

Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within their scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as:

• Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
• Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
• Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
• Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.
• Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
• Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
• Consultation with other healthcare providers;
• Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;

Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).

Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Heath Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

or

If a PA, a Certificate of Added Qualification-Psychiatry
- and -
Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.

Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.

BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$58.28 - $89.91
