Job Description

Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives


SCOPE

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Project Manager of Strategic Initiatives will support the Chief Financial Officer with managing and tracking strategic internal and external projects in support of company objectives. Will be a resourceful, strategic thinker who can solve complex problems with little guidance with a proven ability to drive change through influence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide oversite and support for special projects, setting and tracking Key Performance Indicators.
  • Identify and provide recommendations for improvements across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and other executive team members to determine and prioritize business initiatives.
  • Provide executives with insight and analysis on the company’s operations.
  • Work with leadership to deliver, track, monitor and communicate progress towards goals on high priority initiatives.
  • Support strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation including mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and divestitures.
  • Identify and help solve core problems or opportunities within business processes.
  • Plan and manage team meetings including building agendas, creating material, guiding the discussion, bringing together notes and action items, and following up as appropriate.


QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Technically and digitally savvy; embraces technology
  • Experience in life sciences or a related industry preferred
  • Experience advising and presenting to C-suite and Board of Directors on projects and initiatives
  • Ability to move in to other strategic or operational roles
  • Experience working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a project management or similar role
  • International experience and a basic understanding of GDPR preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, IT, or other related discipline
  • Designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • MBA preferred
