Job Description
Note: Onsite 100% at least the first three months then could be hybrid. Percentage of onsite versus hybrid at that point is TBD.


Overview


  • The client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/BA to facilitate the planning, selection and implementation of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) to replace a currently paper-based medical record at the Hospital and the State Psychiatric Hospital. Must be able to assist other smaller hospital projects as required.


Senior Project Manager/BA (EMR/EHR Project Management) Responsibilities


  • Ensure a smooth transition from project planning and implementation to ongoing production support
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, e.g. hospital leadership, application owners, vendors, clinicians and support staff
  • Demonstrate strong leadership with project stakeholders at all levels within the organization
  • Maintain Risk Register and Issues Log
  • Assist assistance as needed with non-EHR projects ESH/RISPH IT projects as needed in a BA or PM capacity.
  • Manage project budget, ensuring deadlines and cost targets are met
  • Experience with requirements gathering, functional specification development, application implementation and business analysis principals.
  • Evaluate new IT strategies and procedures
  • Responsible for managing essential project relationships and resolving project issues
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Hospitals workflow within the various functional areas, including clinical, financial and administrative disciplines.
  • Project documentation Create and maintain required project documentation and communicate all relevant project statuses and priorities to senior management, project sponsors, stakeholders, and project team members in a consistent, timely manner.
  • Manage and control project and project delivery teams to meet project deadlines, escalate issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and adhere to project management methodologies.
  • Serve as a liaison between business, clinical and technical project stakeholders
  • Lead the planning and coordination of projects, including procurement, system configuration, testing, implementation, systems integration, training, activation and deployment.


General Project Management And BA Credentials And Qualifications


  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds
  • Experience managing projects with multiple external interfaces including various ancillary systems (Lab, Pharmacy, etc.). HL7 and FHIR familiarity desirable
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • At least 5 years' worth of relevant project management and business analyst experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to meet project deadlines
  • Must possess strong customer service skills and mindset
  • Strong Project Management/BA experience implementing large scale healthcare IT projects at the Enterprise/institutional level.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with PMI principles required; PMP certification desirable but not required
  • Be a Self-Starter, but also a Team Player
  • Preferred to have been a Senior PM for at least 2 enterprise wide EHR/EMR projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and other project tools
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
