- Providing ongoing project status updates and reporting.
- Coordinating and collaborating with internal and external project stakeholders on all development efforts.
- Undertaking and/or overseeing predevelopment activities, which includes tasks such as gathering, organizing, and studying relevant information about site and area conditions.
- Serving as a liaison for real estate developers, legal representation, State and local elected officials, Transportation Business Units (TBU), project consultants, and community representation on projects that interface and/or support the Maryland transportation system.
- Soliciting Transit-Oriented Development and Joint Development opportunities throughout the State.
- Participating in the creation and implementation of MDOT's strategies for planning and promoting state development policies, legislation, programs, funding, and projects throughout the State.
- Creating work scope for various project activities and managing consultants to ensure work is completed in accordance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Implementing Transit-Oriented Development projects
- Assisting with drafting and executing real estate development related documentation and agreements.

Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Six (6) years of experience in administrative or professional work. Two (2) years of this experience must have involved one or more of the following: The supervision of other employees, overseeing and coordinating the general operations of a unit, applying rules and regulations, or exercising responsibility for the development of policies or procedures. Three (3) years of experience focused on real estate development in the private or public sector, with job responsibilities to include: project management, business negotiations, pre-development assessments, state and federal grants and financing, document creation/review, site design, development planning, and/or development implementation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
