Job Description
Baranko Brothers Inc., an earthwork contractor based out of Dickinson, ND, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team in the construction industry. The company has been in operation since 1967 and has expanded their work to include a variety of earthwork, trucking, oilfield, power plant, and heavy highway services. Baranko has gained the trust of private entities as well as local and state governments in the Midwest through their wide knowledge in these fields. As a member of the Associated General Contractors and Lignite Energy Council, Baranko Brothers is committed to providing quality service to their clients.
Baranko Brothers Inc. is seeking a motivated individual for the summer of 2023 to assist our Project Management functions during our busy construction season. This position has potential to become full time work. The ideal candidate will have some post-secondary education in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, finance, business, or related field and be located, or willing to relocate near Dickinson, North Dakota. The Assistant Project Manager will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in environmental services, construction, and project management. They will work alongside experienced professionals in the industry and will have a chance to contribute to projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of project pay estimates, job costing, and financial reports
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Assist with maintaining project files and documentation
  • Review project designs and specifications to identify potential issues
  • Assist with the management of subcontractors and vendors involved in projects
  • Assist with scheduling and reviewing time cards of employees
  • Assist in the bidding, planning, scheduling and coordination of projects from conception to completion
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status
Requirements
  • Working towards or have completed a degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, finance, business, or related field preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willing to work in an office setting with weekly visits to job sites
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines
