Job Description

Position: Senior Projects Control Scheduler (Hybrid with 25% travel)

:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Projects Control Scheduler to join our team. This is a hybrid position with 25% travel required. The Senior Projects Control Scheduler will be responsible for creating, evaluating, and improving all schedule controls processes and procedures within the guidelines of the organization. They will lead and train project managers and project controls specialists, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for their assigned projects. This role plays a vital part in improving the company's overall health by challenging existing practices and thinking differently.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete all project deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Attend and participate in the Plan of the Day (POD) and Daily Managers meeting to obtain all information related to project controls.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly owner meetings with the project manager, as needed.
  • Coordinate site visits with the site management team.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and provide necessary training to assigned projects.
  • Generate and review reports such as schedule updates, 3-week "look-ahead," critical path analysis, total float analysis, schedule impacts, Key Project Reports, Overall Project % Complete graphs, Manpower Curves, Schedule Milestones, and Equipment curves.
  • Create new project schedules in the system.
  • Collaborate with Estimating and Project Management teams to understand contract requirements and incorporate project team input into the schedule.
  • Develop and enhance schedule controls processes and procedures in line with organizational guidelines.
  • Lead and train project managers and project controls specialists in generating required monthly and quarterly reports for their assigned projects.
  • Assist project managers, directors, VPs, and PCM (Project Control Managers) with special reports, analysis, subcontractor/EPC daily, weekly, and monthly reports, ensuring data accuracy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and understand prints and contracts.
  • Self-disciplined, motivated, working with limited direct supervision, self-sufficient problem solver.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • PMP Certification is desirable.
  • 5-10 years of cost or scheduling experience, preferably in Solar, Renewable Energy, Construction, or Power Generation projects.
  • Possess a solid understanding of job costing.
  • College degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting/Finance, or Project Management.
  • Proficiency and mastery of Excel, MS Office, Primavera, MS Project, Ecosys, Viewpoint, and Document Control programs.
