Job Description

Our client is a nationally recognized Architectural & Interior Design firm that thrives on finding innovative solutions for a diverse range of hospitality projects. They operate in a collaborative studio environment where the open discussion of architectural ideas and client solutions is valued and encouraged.


Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Architectural license a plus.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in an architecture, engineering, or construction firm serving public sector clientele.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and consultants.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of interns and other team members.
  • Interpret and apply relevant building codes in multiple states and gain an understanding of specific licensing requirements for Senior Living projects.
  • Assist in construction administration through conducting site visits.
  • Lead design teams in the development of project designs from conceptual sketches through construction documents with a collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
  • Foster and maintain positive professional working relationship among clients and team members.
  • Produce aesthetically appealing designs.
  • Provide consistent and timely communication of project information to and from clients and the project team.
  • Assist in preparing, participating, and leading client presentations.


Required Skills

  • CAD experience
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment to meet specific deadlines
  • Knowledge of quality control processes
  • Effective communication skills to prepare and deliver presentations
  • Familiarity with sustainability and LEED guidelines
  • Advanced expertise in architectural building systems
  • Perseverance in thorough troubleshooting and creative problem-solving
  • Diligence in monitoring progress and identifying potential problems
  • Firm understanding of design trends, construction methodology, and material application


Software Proficiencies

  • Autodesk Revit (BIM) experience is mandatory
  • Lumion a plus
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Sketchup and Adobe Photoshop desirable
