Our core purpose is to tell stories to a global audience across our unique platforms. We are looking for changemakers from all backgrounds and walks-of-life, who embody TIME’s core values as well as our mission of informing, connecting, and engaging the world.

The Role

TIME is seeking a Programming Producer to join its fast-growing global events team, which produces the TIME100 Summit and Gala in New York, the TIME100 Impact Awards in Dubai, Israel, Singapore, Rwanda, the Women of the Year Gala in Los Angeles, as well as events at the World Economic Forum, the U.N. Climate Change Conference, and more.

The Programming Producer will report to the Director of Programming and Audience and work closely with colleagues across departments—including the wider editorial, video and business teams—to bring these highly visible, deeply collaborative projects to life.

Responsibilities

  • Source relevant photos, video clips, and other digital assets to inform interviews and panel discussions
  • Manage day-to-day communications with speakers including initial outreach and booking and other aspects of speaker management and logistics as well as administrative efforts including reconciling invoices and keeping tracking documents up to date
  • Draft and edit preparatory documents for speakers including program intros and draft questions and produce on-stage conversations for both internal and external programs and events
  • Coordinate on-stage conversations with TIME interviewers and moderators, drafting preparatory documents upon request
  • Work with sales team and clients on sponsor-related programming
  • Help build out and manage TIME’s programming and audience directory, compiling and updating records so they remain current
  • Write, edit and update live event scripts including VOGs, welcome remarks, transitions, closing remarks, and other relevant program elements
  • Research and pitch speakers from every industry and across the world to feature in TIME’s event programming and an array of editorial franchises
  • Promote and abide by our commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Create and edit event ROS, agenda, and program copy as needed

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic about innovation, positive-change and collaboration.
  • Strong editorial and news judgment, and demonstrated interest in current events
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in event programming or production
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly-collaborative environments
  • Ability and willingness to travel to event locations both domestically and internationally

Note: This position is not represented by the NewsGuild of New York.
