Job Description

This is a 12-month, 40-hour-week position. The primary focus of the position is to develop, support, and independently evaluate complex and confidential systems for the Office of Curriculum and Course Development and in close coordination with Trinity’s Academic Services and Systems and the Office of the Registrar. The Office of Curriculum and Courses is critical to the undergraduate academic experience in Trinity College. Work requires proposing, developing, and supporting programmatic changes and automated workflows to increase efficiency related to course and curriculum changes; training and liaising with stakeholders in academic units, Arts & Sciences faculty and committees, the Registrar’s office, Global Education, Office of Assessment, Academic Services and Systems, and undergraduate students on course and curricular issues; leading in-person training and serving as primary resource for DUSs, DUSAs, and other Arts & Sciences academic department and program staff on course and curriculum development procedures; administering, monitoring, and evaluating organizational operations related to Arts & Sciences courses and curriculum, including course transfers; supervising Undergraduate Bulletin revision; and explaining academic policies and procedures to faculty and staff. Qualifications

A 4-year Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, with demonstrated competence in analytical thinking, organizational skills, and clear communication. Demonstrated ability of taking initiative to notice and solve systematic problems; excellent time-management and organizational skills; strong analytical skills and ability to make and clearly articulate programmatic recommendations to faculty and other stakeholders and to supervise development of and support for automation and other projects to serve the Academic Deans and other academic partners. Ability to guide and direct faculty and staff to monitor and ensure many and diverse tasks are all completed accurately without regular external monitoring and on one’s own initiative and in response to the Trinity Academic Deans’ office’s needs. Dedicated to helping students, faculty, staff, and parents; awareness of and willingness to address diversity and bias issues.
