Position Summary: Clarkson University invites applicants for a senior humanities faculty position in the interdisciplinary Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. Faculty in the department teach in the interdisciplinary and writing-intensive UNIV190, The Clarkson Seminar, which is required for first-year students, and in elective courses in their areas for non-majors as part of Clarkson's general education program, as well as for students in the department's small majors programs. Clarkson is a nationally ranked technological university. The area of specialization for this position is ancient Greece and Rome.

Minimum qualifications: PhD in Classics; demonstrated success in teaching courses like UNIV190; demonstrated success in teaching courses on Greece and/or Rome for non-majors; and excellent records of research, service, and teaching.
