Apex Systems is looking to hire a Production Support Engineer with experience supporting Java applications.
Location: 3 days onsite - 2 days remote; Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA
Pay Rate: $60/hr W2
Contract length: 12+ months - strong potential to extend and convert (contingent on performance)

Requirements:

• Experience with Core/Enterprise Java, Oracle, Splunk, REST, DynaTrace, Sitecope and/or other enterprise monitoring tools
• Must be willing to work on-call rotation once a month (on call hours: 1-9p, 1-10p) - Regular shift: 8-5p; M-Friday
• Apache JBOSS, middleware - preferred
• Experience supporting enterprise Java applications
• 5+ years of Application/Production support experience

Job Responsibilities:
Providing 12X7 end to end detailed monitoring and support of all infrastructure and application components critical to the client Customer Facing Platform Technology (CFPT) CTO. This includes monitoring of the network, databases, middleware, backup, storage, application specific and operating system specific components with the goal of proactively identifying and resolving performance issues prior to interruption of services to the customer.
