Job Description

Position Purpose:

  • Assist area associates in achieving goals in quality, safety, delivery, and productivity.
  • Identify areas to improve and then lead teams to complete the improvement.
  • Ensure that necessary tools and equipment are ready and available to meet schedules. Prepare instructions for equipment operation and preventative maintenance.
  • Plan, organize and develop company resources to meet all established goals and objectives for on-time shipment of product to customer. Enforce all preventative maintenance schedules as applicable.
  • Provide training to ensure that only qualified personnel (per ISO standards) are assigned to perform work.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of and adherence to all established company quality standards, policies and procedures.
  • Supervise the maintenance of a safe, clean and secure work environment for all associates in a designated area.

Essential Functions:

  • Knowledge of and experience in production planning and work flow.
  • A belief in developing a culture where each associate is accountable for his/her actions and cares about quality.
  • Strong people-oriented individual that leads by example, and can motivate and inspire others to do the same.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and overtime is required.
  • Ability to instruct operators in such areas as equipment and process operation, method use of tools, work measurements, quality standards and shop procedures.
  • Supervisory experience in a team or participative workforce environment is preferred.
  • Two to three years experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Good computer literacy desired.

  • Knowledge and experience in managing technical production processes. Particularly useful areas of experience include production fabrication & machining.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Education and Training
  • Practical experience facilitating problem-solving processes (preferably in a highly empowered environment) is critical.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively direct, motivate and coordinate all activities associated with the manufacturing processes required in the specified area of responsibility (fabrication & machining).
  • Associates Degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Must be willing to develop into an area leader role.
  • Individual should be computer literate.
