We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join the manufacturing team at our Corry, PA, location. This position will be on Night Shift which starts at 7PM until 5:30AM Monday-Thursday. This individual will ensure orders are completed and shipped at the lowest possible cost while producing a quality part that is acceptable to the customer and profitable for the Company. Instruct and oversee employees to perform their duties safely, accurately, professionally, and timely. The Production Supervisor will also be responsible for production yields and inventory control for assigned shifts and areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Notify management of employee issues on time.
• Enter absences and vacations into the time and attendance system, ADP.
• Responsible for the distribution and channeling of orders through the production areas.
• Ensure the production schedule is being produced daily.
• Responsible for ensuring employee training is completed entirely and timely
• Adjust workforce as required by production.
• Complete On The Job Training forms for both hourly and temporary employees.
• Evaluate employee performance and pursue corrective action for rule violations.
• Maintain the flow of information to and from employees concerning work requirements, new policies, and new methods of operations.
• Ensure employees are following all safety processes and protocols.
• Complete Hourly Performance Reviews.

SAFETY

• Investigate the cause of safety incidents and include them in the IIR or Near Miss/Hazard Report documentation.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings.
• Participate by being a member of or assisting the 5-S for Safety Team.
• Monitor emails distributed with items to be addressed during weekly safety meetings.
• Complete the Health and Safety Orientation Training Checklist for all new hires, transferring employees, and temporaries.
• Coordinate the completion of Near Miss/Hazard Reports.
• Act as Supervisor for the JHA team; coordinate JHA training each month.
• Coordinate the completion of Incident Investigation Reports (IIR).
• Ensure employees comply with safety and environmental rules.

PRODUCTION

• Recommend and implement improved working methods.
• Control overtime.
• Complete maintenance work orders for repairs as needed.
• Complete paperwork timely.
• Maximize foam yield.
• Available for call-in when necessary.
• Attend Supervisory training courses
• Plan and coordinate production of quality foam at the lowest possible cost.
• Work together as a Supervisor team to maximize plant output.
• Check equipment for problems.
• Accountable for working overtime when required/scheduled.
• Responsible for performing additional duties as required by the Supervisor.
• Ensure shortages are added to the truck by shift end; the driver signs the bill of lading and receives the packing list.
• Accountable for complying with all quality requirements.
• Responsible for following all environmental, safety, and work rules.
• Responsible for notifying management of harassment, unsafe acts/conditions, or environmental concerns.
• Accountable for following the 5-S for Safety Process (sort, straighten, shine, standardize, sustain).
• Responsible for working safely.
• Perform periodic inspections of the production/plant area.
• Address problems in the production area.

EDUCATION

• Ability to read/write/speak/understand English
• Degree in Management, a related field, or equivalent on-the-job experience. 
• 3-5 years of supervisor experience in the manufacturing field is required.
