Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our cosmetics manufacturing team. As a Production Supervisor in the cosmetics industry, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, managing a team of production operators, ensuring product quality and safety standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:
- Implement strategies to optimize production output while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and targets.
- Monitor production processes to guarantee efficiency, quality, and compliance with company standards and regulations.
Team Management:
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs to enhance the skills of the production team.
- Lead, train, and guide production operators, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring balanced workloads and effective utilization of resources.
Quality Assurance:
- Enforce quality control procedures to maintain the highest standards of product quality, consistency, and safety.
- Collaborate with Quality Control and R&D departments to address any production-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Safety and Compliance:
- Identify potential safety hazards and take prompt corrective measures to mitigate risks.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all production staff.
Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to monitor raw material and packaging inventory levels, ensuring availability for uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with procurement to facilitate timely material replenishment.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings within the production operations.
- Implement and oversee process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate production performance reports and communicate progress to management.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to address production challenges and implement process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various departments and provide clear instructions to the production team.
- Proficient in using production management software and tools.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the cosmetics or related manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of cosmetics production processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
