Production Operator

Location: Kingstree, SC

What You’ll Do:

The Production Operator controls the fermentation process to produce algae-based end products. Safely perform various operational functions in assigned area of Fermentation department to support the production goals and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety guidelines and immediately reports any non-conformances
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues along the fermentation process. Performs basic maintenance, including cleaning tanks and maintaining clean and safe work environment.
• Confirms all product ingredients are available for use in process using a checklist.
• Uses Delta V software to check various process readings and adjust running conditions as needed.
• Reads and follows various SOPs and Work Instruction documents.
• Operation of process equipment and utilities to include changing process conditions, open/closure of valves, sterilization of piping/tanks, monitoring process conditions and adjusting as needed
• Maintain GMP work environment and perform housekeeping duties as assigned.

You bring:

• Close attention to detail, Ability to complete accurate documentation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to identify when manufacturing process is not operating at an acceptable range and implement trouble shooting techniques.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
• High degree of manual dexterity and good mechanical and technical aptitude
• Must have working knowledge of manufacturing SOP’s.
• 2 years of production experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
