Assistant Production Manager position at Dune workshop in Jersey City, NJ

In this role, you will typically:

• Expert ability to read, understand, and thoroughly interpret architectural drawings.

• Calculate cost and time schedules for individual custom work.

• Effectively create working sketches or drawings for production as needed.

• Create a BOM, estimate labor and tracking production

• Track and ensure project is delivered on time

• Develop manufacturing methods and tooling

• Provide manufacturing process support to production areas

• Research and request samples and product data for submittals

• Effectively analyze product and process designs for the purpose of waste elimination, continuous improvement, and productivity initiatives

• Effective verbal communication skills, both in-person and via the telephone

We would really like to see:

• Intermediate to Expert Proficiency in AutoCAD or Solidworks

• Previous experience working in a production environment

• Background in woodworking, metal and or finishing.

• Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite including Excel

• An analytical problem solver who can identify root causes and provide corrective solutions.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Seasoned manager who can lead a staff effectively and professionally.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Engineering and or 2+ years related experience

Proven analytical and problem solving utiliizing project management and engineering skills

Knowledge of interior construction details, millwork, furniture and finishes.

Ability to takeoff material quantity requirements for millwork and furniture projects.

Knowledge of field measuring, and deep understanding of installation techniques.

Project management, project forecasting, planning and implementing production.

Highly organized. Able to oversee multiple and complex design projects on a fast track basis.
