Job Description

Job Summary:

The Production General Manager directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.


Essential Duties:

  • Manage ongoing improvements in production efficiency, implementing Lean principles, and demonstrated proficiency in implementation
  • Establish and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program with minimum downtime
  • Utilize analysis of operational metrics to drive product quality and corrective/preventive action programs
  • Lead functional teams to meet manufacturing KPI’s
  • Ensure that company resources are utilized to sustain safe manufacturing and distribution excellence
  • Empower, develop, and reward individuals and teams for performance and growth
  • Coordinate and interact with internal and external cross-functional agencies to fulfill Customer and Company goals

  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred


Education:

  • Preferred: None
  • Basic/Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field

Essential Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or continuous process improvement experience
  • 5S implementation experience
  • Proficient skills in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
  • Able to influence change without direct authority
  • ERP transactional experience
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving & communication skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Understanding of OEE concepts
  • Minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in a high speed/high volume manufacturing setting
  • Prior experience as a Plant, Operations or Manufacturing Manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Resilient, self-motived and able to work well under pressure
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment, as well as with cross-functional groups
