Whether you are involved in the design and development of manufacturing processes for products or supporting maintenance and reliability, engineering is vital to making sure customers and patients have the medicines they need, when they need them. Working with our innovative engineering team, you'll help bring medicines to the world even faster by imagining what’s possible and taking action.


What You Will Achieve


Provide engineering and technical support related to the installation, startup/commissioning, testing, and qualification, sustained operation and maintenance of process and automated equipment and systems within a biopharmaceutical clinical manufacturing facility, as well as commercial/ clinical changeover and tech transfer activities. This may include startup of production equipment such as bioreactors, ultrafiltration skids, Clean – In – Place (CIP) skids, and other support equipment.


How You Will Achieve It


  • Support the design and qualification of improvements, changes, or upgrades in production equipment as needed
  • Support tech transfer and changeover for commercial and clinical processes
  • Support sustained operation and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and control systems used in the manufacture of biopharmaceuticals
  • Support investigations, audits and change controls as needed
  • Provide the execution of commissioning and qualification activities
  • Provide off-shift and on call support when necessary
  • Support the development of commissioning and qualification documents
  • Support process and continuous improvement projects as needed.
  • Support the maintenance department as needed
  • Provide equipment maintenance history review
  • Provide on the floor operational support as needed


Qualifications


Must-Have


  • Applicant must have six years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with four years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, are required.
  • Knowledge of working with computers and associated applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint are recommended.


Nice-to-Have


  • Candidate with working knowledge in biopharmaceutical or similarly regulated field are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Emerson DeltaV, Allen-Bradley PLC preferred


Physical/Mental Requirements


  • Ability to locate information and utilize available organizational knowledge to develop innovative solutions
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk to access equipment in a clean room environment


Non-standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements


  • Ability to work in a clean room environment
  • Provide second shift coverage
  • Ability to manage work on off-shift to support any emergencies as needed
  • Minimal travel for equipment support and projects


Work Location Assignment: On Premise
