Production Assembly Technician

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

Successful candidates will:

Be responsible for assembly of components, following work instructions and noting defects or concerns to Lead person or Manager at time of discovery. Duties include working in a production assembly plant and warehouse environment both inside and outside.

o Must be mechanically inclined with basic reading, writing and mathematics skills.

o Work in a team environment, follow direction, read work instructions, and prepare quality documents including part non-conformity reports.

o Perform difficult assembly tasks while standing for shift duration.

o Run parts, inspect for defects, troubleshoot and quickly communicate issues as they arise, and make required adjustments.

o Employee may be required to cross-train on other functions.

o Position requires standing for extended periods of time / sitting for extended periods of time.

o Expected to work in a safe manner and follow company policies and procedures.

o Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Skills

o Must have high attention to detail.

o Be able to work proactively with a team.

o Be able to perform repetitive tasks.

o Be certified in the operation of lift truck within 90 days of hire.

o Be flexible to work occasionally on weekends or at nights.

o Have strong interpersonal skills.

o Have good hand eye coordination.

o Have good eyesight and hearing skills.

o Must have normal to high manual dexterity skills. Must be able to use hand tools and other process related equipment such as fixtures, assembly presses and air tools.

o Some hand tools require the operator to be ambidextrous.

o Moderate lifting up to 50lbs, lifting assistance is provided when necessary.

o Fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling and grasping of small-medium-large parts.

o Operator must have full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck and back to perform job duties.

Education

Candidates need to have a High School Diploma or equivalent education level as a minimum requirement. Lift truck and assembly experience preferred. Attendance occurrence record should be excellent.

Travel Required

Minimal travel should be expected for this position.
