Job Description

The ideal candidate is an analytical team player who will be responsible for leading a team of high performing individuals who own the entire product lifecycle from strategy to evaluation. You will also work cross-functionally to complete product roadmaps and discover new opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Educate customers in making product selections based on their needs, specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Support purchasing as a backup to replenish inventory. (SAP users only)
  • Support the development and evaluation of the organization’s sales force (field and inside sales) to achieve established sales and profit goals.
  • Prepare supplier reviews
  • Develop and maintain deep product expertise
  • Review and process Return Purchase Orders, Credits and Debits
  • Have a deep understanding of the supply markets, including contact and general costing information.
  • Function as internal product expert for both purchasing and sales activities.
  • Provide product training / education to sales and purchasing teams
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with external firms
  • Establish supplier relationships at all levels, including senior management.
  • Responsible for quoting and supporting sales contracts.
  • Create goals for inventory objectives in their products
  • In conjunction with Outside Sales, contact new and existing customers
  • Support buyers and purchasing managers
  • Work with sales districts to develop Sales/Marketing Plan
  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers’ needs and on technical knowledge of product


Qualifications

  • Willing to travel 50% or more
  • Stainless Steel Experience (Long Steel)
  • Sales/Business Development Experience
  • Minimum 5 years Experience of Sales/Purchasing
