Duration: 8 Month Contract


Who We Are Looking For


As our Product Line Manager – Girls Apparel, this individual will manage all facets of the product creation process for the Girls Apparel line. This is a high visibility role with both strategic and creative facets of the work, managing across all classifications as well as collection ownership within the product assortment. We are looking for someone that has strategic vision, excellent communication and presentation abilities, operational excellence and passion for product.


What You Will Work On


In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting insightful and impactful product briefs, analyzing consumer and competitive trends in the market and bringing quality product to market that solves problems for our consumer and meets margin targets. This person will own the product strategy and the successful execution of the line plan architecture in partnership with Global Merchandising. They will also be responsible for creating impactful presentations at the appropriate gates to advise and inspire triad and downstream partners around our seasonal strategies and key stories!


Who You Will Work With


This individual will lead product strategy, consumer work and product creation processes for the overall product line in collaboration with the Senior Product Director. They will spend time with the design triad (apparel, color and technical design) and global merchandising partners to conduct analyses of the current business and assortment opportunities. They will also lead the design and development teams to hit key deliverables each season, including all key meetings and creation deadlines. They will co-own the successful creation and execution of the line plan architecture in partnership with Global Merchandising.


What You Bring


  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Solutions-oriented, open to raising hand and proposing new product and process ideas
  • Necessary Skills/Tools: Visual Tool Creation (Powerpoint/Keynote/Miro), Excel Skills, Retail Math, Smartsheets
  • Understanding of the consumer and marketplace (aesthetic, muses, preferences, relevant brands, interests & behaviors)
  • General understanding of apparel product construction and sourcing process
  • Bachelor's degree of higher or Combination of relevant education, experience and training
  • Business acumen & strong analytical abilities
  • Experience creating cut and sew apparel product is preferred
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3+ years experience in a product-related role
  • Creativity and passion for kids product, fashion, color and style
  • Experience monitoring and understanding trends, and applying that understanding to product briefs is preferred
  • Able to lead and influence a team and enable collaborative working relationships
