This position is eligible for a flexible schedule or partial telework arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.


Your Responsibilities


As a Senior Product Engineer for John Deere Turf and Compact Utility Technology Commercialization located in Cary, NC, you will….
  • Development of control systems for equipment tuning including equipment software feature development
  • This will include building and testing simulation models and concept machines.
  • Work with product line design teams to develop electrification solutions and sensor technology that meets customer needs and aligns across product families.
  • Collaborate with the tech stack to define requirements and strategies for Turf and Compact Utility electrification needs while managing performance, cost, quality, and product complexity.

What Skills You Need


  • 5 or more years of experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases.
  • 5 or more years of product engineering experience.
  • Experience in performing complex engineering assignments.
  • 2 or more years of product test and analysis experience.
  • 5 or more years of technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical products.
  • 3 or more years of product design experience.


What Makes You Stand Out


  • Experience with electric drive/ motor vehicle integration
  • Experience with vehicle analysis and software development models
  • Experience in Controls Development


Education


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
