Fall Co-op Program: July 11 - December 15, 2023


The Product Development teams are focused on rapidly developing the next generation of minimally invasive implanted cardiac pumps, both for acute and long-term patient support. Our team is leading or engaging in the development of the entire system including:

  • Console, UI, and System performance
  • On-board sensors / intelligence
  • Pump/catheter/motor
  • Access and repositioning sheaths
  • Clinical best practices, training, and pump management techniques


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The student will:

  • Provide input into process development and improvement
  • Assist in the design of components/fixtures
  • Analyze data and present results to larger Engineering team
  • Conduct failure analyses under mentorship of senior engineering staff
  • Conduct engineering tests for design improvement


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, or directly related discipline
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We we will not be able to provide any sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks preferred
  • Experience with machining and/or 3D printing is a plus
  • Strong design, testing, and analytical skills required (e.g. engineering and statistical analysis)
