Job Description

Come build the future of technology and the only marketplace and vertical SaaS platform supporting the beauty industry. Pomp is the only platform that gives estheticians the ability to connect with clients in a more impactful way by providing them a marketplace to recommend skincare, tooling and resources for communication, and more. Pomp is not only disrupting the aesthetics and beauty industries but creating an impactful marketplace and SaaS platform that has never existed before for estheticians and consumers shopping for skincare.

Pomp is looking for a Product Designer to join the Product Engineering team. This is a hybrid position for a person that is a UX Designer first but can be the voice of the Product both internally and externally - join us and help shape what Design *AND* Product means at a fun, early-stage start-up.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Designer / Product Manager hybrid (yes! A unique role and opportunity to wear both hats!) to shape the product and end-user experience towards the goal of providing the most trusted and premium experience for people seeking skincare advice as well as the estheticians who serve them. As the Leader of the product team, you will report directly to the CEO and have a direct, consequential impact on the future of our business. The ideal candidate is proactive and well-versed in the user-centered design process to solve complex problems, a positive person who thrives in a hyper-growth environment and is eager to learn from others. This person will:

  • Design and craft intuitive, human-centric flows and experiences.
  • Partner closely with engineering to design and build new features.
  • Evaluate and recommend design solutions and help guide team decision-making.
  • Communicate cross-functionally to drive alignment around design direction.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes and visuals to bring designs to life.
  • Deliver pixel-perfect mockups and design specs while maintaining design quality in the shipped product.

This position is remote-friendly with a Denver, CO, locale preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and design prototypes, test with users, iterate and work with the greater team to deploy simple, elegant, and purposeful experiences
  • Work within and expand our evolving design language system that supports over 500 estheticians and thousands of clients
  • Lead design thinking activities cross-functionally to absorb knowledge and needed information from partners
  • Proactively contribute to product strategy and roadmaps through customer research and design explorations
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure execution is what is imagined and expected
  • Create data-informed designs using research, data, and analytics
  • Communicate, participate, and prepare for design walkthroughs, critiques, and reviews in order to continually raise our bar for quality
  • Own and take responsibility for your work from ideation to deployment
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and changing need
  • Bring your full self to our growing team and help define our culture and values

Qualifications

  • Owned product design end-to-end for multiple successful products at scale
  • Experience facilitating discussions with the product and engineering team to drive strategy and execution.
  • Product Design generalist with strong skills in interaction design, visual design, and user research; additionally, the ability to “wear a Product hat”
  • 5+ years of product design experience as an individual contributor working collaboratively with product managers and developers/engineers
  • Care deeply about technical, scalable, and user-centric models of design
  • An impressive portfolio demonstrating strong UI/UX design, prototyping, visual design, typography, and visual hierarchy
  • Worked with a variety of partners and can confidently present and share your work
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, with an entrepreneurial ownership mentality

Bonus

  • Education and prior experience in design, marketing, or user research
  • Strong working knowledge of web technologies: HTML/CSS, JS, Python, SQL
