The Product Design Engineer II will be responsible for full life cycle development of medical devices, which includes initiation, design, development, testing, execution, and product maintenance. You will be responsible for the production and processing of prototypes, patient specific instrumentation and implants.

The Product Design Engineer II will be responsible for full life cycle development of medical devices, which includes initiation, design, development, testing, execution, and product maintenance. You will be responsible for the production and processing of prototypes, patient specific instrumentation and implants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- May require some travel to attend trade shows.
- Design and produce new implants and instruments.
- Produce and process prototypes, patient specific instrumentation and implants utilizing 3D printers and ancillary equipment.
- Generate, test, and manage the creation of prototype models to evaluate new design concepts.
- Maintenance of design history file for assigned projects, adhering to the Movora design control procedures.
- Report progress and status of assigned projects on a timely basis.
- Recommend and modify existing designs to develop or improve quality and functionality of products.
- Support Marketing and Product Management with technical information to be used for training and marketing.

- Professional, concise, tactful, and sensitive communication skills across all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
- Frequent us e and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts and principles.
- Ability to process manufacturing concerns, engineering changes and make recommendations based upon engineering principles.
- Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- 2 years of experience required. 3+ years' experience preferred.
- Experience designing and using metal additive manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to work comfortably in surgical labs with animal cadavers.
- Excellent attention to detail, thorough, and effective follow-through
- Software: Solidworks, Office Suite, and Teams required. nTopology, Simulation, KeyShot Materialise Magics, Asana preferred.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork-oriented attitude.
- Proven experience in Project Management.
- Competencies: Teamwork, Initiative, Customer Focus, Ability to Multi-task and Prioritize workloads
- BS degree in Engineering required. Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
- Working knowledge of drafting stands and basic geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
- Understanding of new product development.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
