9NEWS (KUSA) in Denver is home to employees who demonstrate an urgent, passionate, and unmatched commitment to leading and revolutionizing information delivery across all platforms. We are looking for a News Producer to produce our noon newscast Monday through Friday and contribute content to other newscasts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a producer with limited experience but great potential. It allows for developing strong newscast-producing skills as well as successfully contributing to other programs.
Responsibilities:
- Produce unique content for multi-platforms, including broadcast and digital
- Line produce the 30-minute "9NEWS at Noon" Monday through Friday
- Produce other newscasts as needed
- Write content for 9News.com
- React to breaking news and manage the show's timing
- Produce content and engage on our social media platforms
Job Requirements:
Requirements:
- Ability to flex on scheduled days and times, including short term notice
- College degree in journalism, communications or similar
- 0-3 years experience in newscast producing or training for newscast producing
- Proven understanding of fundamental broadcast writing principles and ability to demonstrate these principles through a pre-hire writing test
Pay range: $24.03 - $28.85 per hour. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
