Procurement Manager Jobs

Airswift is seeking Procurement Managers to work remotely with our major client on a contract to hire basis.

Responsibilities:

• Proven ability to influence manufacturers and fabricators to reduce long lead times and mitigate delays
• Generate projects procurement progress reports on work progress, forecasted completion dates, production challenges, and action plan to mitigate delays
• Self-perform and manage project procurement activities on active construction projects to ensure the timely delivery of engineering approvals, materials, and equipment to meet the project needs
• Perform due diligence activities on potential vendors, manufacturers, and contractors
• Identify production risks and provide risk mitigation recommendations to Project Managers
• Support any break-in sourcing activities on active construction projects
• Perform supplier visits, as requested by Project teams, to verify production progress and shorten delivery dates
• Provide procurement support on projects in development; perform RFI/RFQ/RFP sourcing events in concert with Project Development team
• Obtains copies of supplier’s orders for material, performs sub-supplier expediting where necessary
• Contact and expedite suppliers and contractors to obtain timely submission of documents and reports where required
• Reviews the issued purchase orders and overall project schedule to understand the requirements to support major milestone completion dates
• Works with Project Manager to understand the critical path orders to be monitored, expedited, and managed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical field
• 8+ years of experience working as a Project Procurement Manager/Advisor or similar role on engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects within oil & gas, petrochemical, and/or renewable energy industries.
