Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

IVX Health is a national provider of infusion and injection therapy for those with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and other complex chronic conditions. The Manager, Prior Authorization & Preregistration is responsible for ensuring that all patients receive financial and medical clearance for treatment of their chronic conditions. This is achieved by overseeing the patient access and intake functions to include centralized scheduling, financial counseling, copay assistance and prior authorization functions.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Works closely with leadership to develop a strategic plan for onboarding new markets.
  • Creates and helps review process, language, and training documents to ensure accuracy, completeness and in compliance with company standards and guidelines.
  • Oversees intake and prior authorization team and process effectively with a focus on improving the centralized patient onboarding experience.
  • Mentors and coaches team members to ensure successful support of markets. Evaluates staffing and training needs of new employees.
  • Manages department-related ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Develops, collaborates, and maintains productive and positive working relationships with key local, regional, and national teams to effectively resolve issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performs market, Health Plan, and legislative research as needed and analyzes data.
  • Monitors centralized intake performance; reports, tracks and resolves potential or escalated issues including market related intake, financial counseling needs, and other operational issues.


Job Qualifications


ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency with standard office software applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate and lead effectively through change
  • Detail Oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in an organization with multiple sites and multiple interdepartmental dependencies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management or related field
  • Extensive experience with patient intake, prior authorization and financial counseling preferred
  • At least five (5) years of experience working in a health care organization with a specific background in operations and intake processes
