Preschool Assistant Teacher: Part-Time Or Full-Time (Fall City/Snoqualmie Valley)

Summary
We are a small Montessori School in Fall City looking for assistant teachers. Our hours of operation are 7am-5:30pm. We have a Toddler room for children 1-3 years old and a Preschool room for children ages 3-5.
The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teachers by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. S/he must believe in a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents.
The ideal candidate is looking for the opportunity to work in a positive, supportive work environment. We offer the opportunity for job advancement and scholarships towards earning a college degree.
This can be a part-time position or full-time position. The shift ends at 5:45pm and start time can be determined at the time of hire.

Duties

• Assist in the implementation of activities and maintain a positive, calm environment.
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition between home and school.
• Actively engage with children and support co-workers.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Responsibilities will include daily cleaning.

Nice To Haves

• 30 hours of Childcare Basic Training
• The following training will be required, but we will help you through the process:
• BBP/HIV training
• STARS number
• Food Handlers Permit
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
