Automotive Used Car Acquisition Specialist / Buyer

Patriot Motors of Sturgeon Bay, WI is a full-service automotive dealership that sells and services Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Chevrolet, Buick and Ford vehicles. We need to hire a Used Car Acquisition Specialist/Buyer to utilize multiple platforms to source the best mix of inventory, set KBB appointments, achieve buy plan targets and more. Responsibilities - Used Car Acquisition Specialist/Buyer:

  • Work with logistical partners to arrange vehicle transportation
  • Prospect for vehicle sellers via all mediums (Craigslist, Autotrader, Cars.com, etc.)
  • Merchandise inventory on the lot
  • Follow up on internet leads from Kelly Blue Book customers
  • Manage the reconditioning process of used cars
  • Appraise and identify vehicle values
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Work internet and phone leads submitted by customers seeking to sell their vehicles.
  • Contact customers in service lane regarding purchasing their vehicle
  • Utilize multiple platforms and attend automotive auctions in person to source the best mix of inventory and achieve buy plan targets


Qualifications - Used Car Acquisition Specialist/Buyer:

  • Good negotiation skills
  • Automotive BDC, appraisal and/or purchasing experience is a plus!
  • Proficient computer skills, experience navigating multiple internet sites including Social Media
  • Self-motivated to exceed expectations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional, ethical, and respectful
  • Driver's license and good driving record
