Job Description
Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of the Pre-Admission Testing Technician position is to provide direct patient care, performs simple nursing procedures, performs in a technical capacity providing support to the professional staff in the evaluation and treatment of patients, and contributes to the overall orderliness and cleanliness of the unit under the direction and supervision of a Staff Nurse. Exercises competency in all procedures within the scope of practice, as appropriate to all ages of patients served from neonatal to the end of life.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or its equivalent plus one (1) year of health care experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.
  • Applicants must be able to take temperatures, pulse, blood pressures, and other simple procedures where indicated. Certification in phlebotomy, AHA CPR and EKG is required. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification program required.
